Ella Carter transmigrated into the role of a malicious mother-in-law. On her son's wedding day, she shielded her daughter-in-law Zoe Quinn, only to discover that her son Mike Carter was being manipulated by her own best friend, Jenna White. After uncovering that Mike was actually the child of Jenna, and that her real son was Evan Long, she publicly exposed the conspiracy, leading to the villains' downfall. In the end, she helped Zoe and Evan take the helm of Carter Group. Then, she suddenly woke up from the sofa where she had been binge-watching dramas, realizing that the series had reached its perfect conclusion.
