Catherine Ryan, CEO of YM Group, spends three months developing the world's only cure for hemophilia—a gift for her son Mike's fiancée, Lina. But Lina is secretly sleeping with a guard, Declan, and scheming for the family fortune. Tricked by a staged photo, Lina and two accomplices attack Catherine, refusing to believe her identity and destroying the only dose of the cure. They stop only when Mike's executive arrives. At the engagement ceremony, Catherine reveals her injuries and exposes Lina's fake pregnancy. Declan is taken away; the accomplices are imprisoned. Lina, without the cure, dies from her own desperate attempt to lick the shattered vial.
