Victor, leader of the Syndicate, has held power for three years when he is publicly challenged at a banquet by elder Carlos, who accuses him of patricide and usurpation. Eve steps in just in time to save Victor from an assassination attempt, and he takes her on as his personal blade. Seven years ago, Carlos staged a coup, forcing a young Victor to shoot the old godfather, whose dying wish was for Victor to protect his hidden young daughter, Aria. Aria assumes the name Eve and goes undercover, mistakenly believing Victor is her father’s killer and waiting for a chance at revenge. Victor senses her hatred and the doubts surrounding her, yet keeps her by his side. Carlos and his faction plot against the two, while undercurrents surge from all sides.
